100,000 films directed by your running data
The value of big data doesn't lie in reflection, but in motivation. So to fire up the top 100,000 Nike+ members to push even harder in the coming year, we turned their data into a custom animation unlike anything ever experienced before. Over 1,500 hand-crafted animation clips join by 1 billion points of Nike+ member data rendered over 125 million frames to create 100,000 one-of-one videos. It's Your Year. Directed by Nike+.
A Story of One
In partnership with Mcbess, a renowned French illustrator, we created over 1,500 hand-crafted animation clips representing every possible variable, from pine trees in the Pacific Northwest to the New York City skyline. These populated a custom cloud server to render over 125 million frames of custom animation, creating 100,000 one-of-one videos. Each video illustrated the activity, location, weather and personal accomplishments of the athlete.
