A diabolical baby with a killer stare
What started as a live Comic-Con activation came crashing to a halt in March 2020—and led us to welcome a completely different solution into our hearts and lives.
Drawing on one of the most iconic scenes of the premiere season of The Boys, Baby Laser Tag was born. A mobile, AR-enabled shooter delivered to the world just in time to blast out all that Covid-fueled anxiety on the supes.
My 'lil laser baby
Since we had already dropped a physical baby in prep for our now covid-cancelled activation, we leveraged the build as an influencer kit and immediate lit the internet on fire. Influencers linked to our core audience generated bursts of buzz—among gamers, cosplayers, tinkerers and fans of the comics and series.
Then primed and ready to receive the full Laser Baby onslaught, we readied an AR version of the lil' tyke to release for everyone craving some of the action. Designed as a easy-to-learn, difficult-to-master first-person blaster game, Baby Laser Tag on mobile filled your space with and endless array of Vought baddies to blast. We even miniaturized the game and gave everyone a taste via Snapchat and IG filters, driving traffic to the experience and buzz around the launch of the new season.
THIS PROJECT WON GOLD AT THE CLIOS, AND LASER BABY WAS SUCH A HIT, AMAZON PUT IT INTO PRODUCTION AS A LISTED PRODUCT.
