Bootstrapping an unhinged family history musical
To launch family history startup Storied, The Players created 100 years of a quirky family history for a endless series of uncomfortable but charmingly honest musical discoveries… because we've all had that conversation at family reunions, after all.
This production was the first major national campaign to grab headlines by using an AI-integrated production pipeline— techniques 2Player used to execute the sprawling creative vision and achieve it on a budget more suited to a banner ad campaign.
AN UNREAL TALE OF FAMILY DISCOVERY
In the studio, we brought the full campaign narrative to life in a half-dozen worlds through the use of a digital volume studio and Unreal sets, giving the story the flexibility to careen through time and space through carefully placed transitions and rhyme-y rug pulls. From the 2-minute anthem to a full suite of :15s, it was an exercise in squeezing creativity out of every dollar.
